I finally got around to cooking my farmer’s market chicken. Ok, so it took a couple of days to thaw. Friday night arrived, and I got to cooking. I stuffed that bad boy with a whole lemon cut into a few big pieces, a couple of cloves of garlic, some sage, and salt and pepper. Then I put her in the oven and in about an hour, she was done and looking like a tan golden goddess.

I don’t know if it was because this chicken was free range, organic and local or if it was because it was the first roast chicken I’ve made, but it was sooooo tasty. I’m still eating it! I’ve already had a 5 meals off it this bird!
On my way home, I did a drive by to see if the goats were still there. I’m happy to report, they are. I’m gonna miss those guys when they’re done. But the hill looks like it’s been cleaned up by professional landscapers. I guess, in a way, it has been. So without further adieu, here’s the gratuitous goat shots. Check out how clean the hill looks compared to 3 days ago!
