Today was uneventful until the drive home.  It was a beautiful day today - the sun was out, it was warm but not super hot.  It was perfect.  On days like this, I tend to take the scenic route home.  It’s all the backroads home.  As I was driving past what is normally a rather hilly, overgrown section of land I noticed that that patch of land was now infested.  Ok, infested is not the right word, but it was covered with goats!

Goats!

I had to do a double take, turn the car around and go back to make sure I was seeing everything correctly.  So I doubled back and sure enough, there were goats on the hill!

Goats! Goats!

It was awesome!  I walked around and up the stairs that run along side the hill.    It was great to watch everyone come to a screeching halt when the got to the hill.

Goat! Goats! Goats!

By the time I had walked back down the stairs the goats had quite an audience.  I took a few more photos.  Close ups, if you will.

Goats! Goats! Goats! and more Goats!

This guy was awesome.  He was one of the bigger guys in the group.  And I have to say, he really wanted to be photographed.  He  was posing for me.  He’s a total rockstar.  Check out that goatee!

is that a goat or a unicorn?

I think this one thought he was more of a magical, mythical creature, sporting the unicorn horn.  Either that or he’s the winner of the goat version of Project Runway and he’s making fashion happen for goats.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

And these guys were just begging for the photo caption to be “The Three Billy Goats Gruff.”

I’m not sure if they’re spending the night tonight, but I hope they’re there when I go by tomorrow!  Oh and if you need to rent a herd for some landscaping, you can contact them via their website.  The owner was super nice.  I didn’t get a chance to talk to her, but I heard her chatting with a few other people there.
