Today after work, I went to our local Goodwill Outlet store. The outlet store is a little bit different from the regular Goodwill store. You basically buy stuff by the pound – except things like furniture. So I thought I would see if I could find another sweater or two to unravel and recycle the yarn. But the yarn gods must have been smiling at me tonight, I found all this for about $2!

There are 10 skeins of alpaca yarn! And there was even a Jaeger Matchmaker Merino 4 ply skein! That one skein is about $7! I was super excited at my find. I think I might have most of the yarn I need for my Christmas presents. So I feel much better about that. Now if I could just have a few extra pairs of hands and a couple more weeks for me to work my knitting magic, all will be right with the world.
My mom forwarded me an email that came from someone’s blog. It was pictures from a 1977 JC Penney’s catalog with captions that the catalog owner wrote. It was brilliant. So I did a little search and found the blog – 15 Minute Lunch. Check it out. It’s pure genius. The entry for today is of a sign from Porters Corner. Mom reminded me that Porters Corner is on the way from their house to the family camp in Minerva. Which makes the whole thing that much funnier.
