I just got a nice little comment from my mysterious Winter Wonderland Coffee swap partner. I’m very excited… Just in case they’re reading this - again, I love diamonds, emeralds, rubies… ok, just kidding. Actually if it’s caffeinated and there’s a little yarn (on the side of course) too, I’m thrilled!
I’ve also decided to try and get a part time job. I’ve got some debt and it’s keeping me up at night. And because of that, I have decided to get a part time job. I’m hoping I can find something in the health and fitness field (front desk at a gym would be perfect), so that I can see what goes on at a gym and find out if I really want to become a personal trainer. So as mom would say, light the candles and say the rosaries that I find something. I’d like to be able to sleep again
As for the knitting side of things, I just started and finished the cabled hand and coffee warmer pattern (God I love Craftster!) . here’s what my finished piece looks like.

and flat and lying on the desk:

The last photo is the closest colorwise. For some reason that last photo looks a little pornographic… I think next time I make this, I’ll use a slightly thinner and not as hairy of yarn. Being my first attempt at doing cable work, I’m pretty happy with it.
And since the wedding has come and gone and I know my friend is on her honeymoon (and hopefully not checking her email) here’s a photo of the finished wedding present:
