I spent most of Sunday at work (ok about 4 and a half hours) at work and then I came right home and started ripping apart the sweaters I got at Goodwill. So here’s the before photo:

3 sweaters sitting on the floor

the brown one is a Woolrich, 100% wool sweater, the white one is a brand I can’t remember and it’s wool and I can’t remember (I should have kept the darn labels) but it’s super soft. And the grey one is Old Navy wool, acrylic blend. I immediately taking apart the white sweater. I was able to rip out the side seam and get the sleeve off. I unraveled the sleeve and got a rather large pile of brain like yarn. (see photo below)

Then I thought, perhaps I should have started with the bulkier sweater. So I hopped right on the grey sweater. That one came apart pretty fast. I got most of it unraveled. I just have the front to do. I again have a pile of (grey) brains.

Then I had to put it down. I realized that I needed something better than my feet to wind the yarn. And the cats were no help at all. So I switched from that to the wedding present I’m working on. All I’m going to say about that is that it’s coming along swimmingly. This is a little something the bride is not expecting. So I hope she likes it. I was able to work on that while the Red Sox kicked butt.

Today was a really nice day, so I tried to take advantage of it and stayed outside as long as possible. As did the other little creatures around the yard. I am not a big fan of spiders but there are a few that I will let live. The one that lives in my passenger side car mirror ( I like to consider him good luck) and the one that guards the door to my apartment. I believe that one is female as there a several smaller ones around her web. When I came home today I noticed that there was a flurry of little gnat like things floating around. It almost looked like it was snowing there were so many. they must have been taking advantage of the last bit of good weather. I got to the door to say hello to my spider friend and saw that she had a Love Boat sized buffet spread on her web. So I had to take a picture of her in all her spider glory. Hopefully she didn’t mind. If they find me tomorrow coccooned in a spider web, we’ll know she was a bit upset with the impromptu photo shoot.

Spidey

So tonight, I’ll do a little work on the wedding present while watching the Biggest Loser. And watching over my shoulder just in case I angered the spider.

Oh, one last thing – GO RED SOX! (Sorry Linda – I had to do it)
